Used in the monitoring of the performing, injured, or recovering equine, the FLIR Thermal imaging can be provided instantly to enable vets, owners, etc., to make prompt decisions in appropriate treatment.
Infrared Thermographic imaging has proved to be a valuable tool in the monitoring of performing, injured or recovering equine. Equine thermography is a non-invasive monitoring tool that uses the very latest infrared imaging equipment and computer software to detect minute differences in the horse's thermal and neural condition. Early identification of the location of the injury helps to prevent further trauma, and helps the treating vet to make a decision on treatment needed, and to monitor recovery.
Upon delivery of horses brought to JRs for conditioning / recovery / and/or rehabilitation, we take thermography images of the entire horses and place those images in a password protected online page which is available for easy access by owner and veterinarian of the horse. Thermography images are continued to be taken and uploaded as often as needed for referring veterinarian to make prompt decisions and appropriate treatment orders.
