Thank you for your interest in the Massage for Horses Owner – Hands-on Workshop.
With simple massage skills, during a session you can easily detect if your horse’s musculature is balanced or not.
Why is this important?
The muscles of the body hold the spine and limbs together in the right position. The combination of weak and over-tight muscles causes deviation in posture and in the skeletal system, leading to sub-luxation of the skeletal joints. As long as this muscle imbalance is not corrected, these sub-luxation problems will recur time and time again even after manipulation by a veterinarian chiropractor.
The right combination of massage therapy, stretching, and other modalities you can do in the comfort of your own barn, can help you prevent a lot of these problems and maximize your training by keeping your horse flexible and muscle stress free.
My goal is to help you provide quality home care for the benefit of your horse.
In this Massage for Horse Owner Workshop, you will learn how to:
Observe your horse’s posture and gait; Palpate your horse’s body; Check for stress points; Take your horse’s vitals; Check your horse for joint dysfunction; Use the different massage techniques; Give your horse a full body massage; Use laser meridian therapy; Apply 4 different kinesiology tapings.

There are times when massage therapy can make a condition worse, so all contraindications will need to be ruled out before massage therapy is performed. Also, remember that massage therapy is not a substitute for veterinary care and you should also consult with your veterinarian before trying a new therapy with your horse!
